VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES1} GIRL CHILD EDUCATION To abort early girl child marriage as most Kurians girls are married off between the age 14 years.
2} CHILD EDUCATION General education involves both genders, while girl child education does not include male education. 3} HIV/ AIDS Entails educating individuals and the public on dangers and how to manage the virus. 4} BRICK MAKING Entails moulding blocks for building houses. 5} FARMING The organization has its own farm planted maize, beans and vegetables. 6 DIET AND NUTRITION Involves educating teenage parents on the balance diet. 7} HOME VISITS To encourage the sick, poor and old age. 8)WATER PROJECT To make clean and safe water accessible for all 9} EDUCATION 10} NEIGHOURHOOD CLEANUP Normally done once per week SARTUDAY. HOW MANY HOURS OF WORKING IN KENYA ·Volunteering normally stars as from 0800hrs GMT to 1200 noon, then two-hour lunch break-In the afternoon One hour for home visits. Hence, working hours is 5hours per day or 35hour per week. ·Off days, land on weekends only. During Laura’s stay, she will be required to have somebody take her around, a local volunteer thus an additional volunteering allowance fees. |

IMPACTS TO OUR ORGANIZATION · Volunteers always have long impact to KWSHG members e.g. Silva Donzellini from Spain has linked our organization to the SCI Madrid and she has Donated one computer for our organization. SCI gave us a two year contract to send volunteers as from August 1st to 21st August for a long term work camp to establish a water project, Cathy Wong from Canada created a website for our organization apart from supporting and training youth members on how to write CVs and conduct themselves in an interview. Martina from Spain did a presentation in Croatia and organized a fundraising for the purchase of land to build a resource center. Paula from Spain donated also one computer, Noemi from Spain donated Digital camera Book donations, Clothes donations and many more.
